I purchased 5 combination Natural Gas/Carbon Monoxide detectors for my home. I was actually just planning to replace my existing CO detectors, and assumed that they also detected natural gas. After doing a little research, I found that this is NOT the case, and I definitely wanted natural gas detection, as well. I've seen multiple occurrences in the news of homes being completely destroyed by natural gas leaks, and it seems crazy that multi-function detectors are not mandatory, as they are in Japan and some European countries. Very glad I found this product. No one else seems to offer this level of protection, and I don't want to be without it.

These are great for everyone that uses Natural Gas. These are well built, and easy to install. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting peace of mind, knowing that you will be alerted to any gas leak and can take action before a disaster would strike. Easy to understand, easy to mount. We installed them adjacent to our three CO detectors.

As a family member of a firefighter, I know how often they get called out for gas leaks and fires. There are several things that I really like about this product that puts them far above the competition.

1. Totally battery powered - which means I can place this where it's most effective, and I'm not limited by a power outlet. So I can hang this up in a high corner of my kitchen, where the gas is going to gather first (Gas rises!)
2. Additional benefit of battery powered - no worries during a power outage
3. Far more sensitive than the products that are available elsewhere today - I'm going to know about a leak much earlier, before it becomes an explosion risk.
4. I can put one in each room - I have a gas stove, gas furnace, gas water heater, gas dryer, gas fireplace, and a gas heater in the garage. So I can easily put one in each room near my appliances and again, I don't have to look for or tie up a power outlet.
5. Set it and forget it - I put it up, and it's good for 6 years!

I feel so much safer with this product in my house!
