Private dwellings: Permanent dwellings/apartments/homes
Class A multiple dwellings: One and two-family houses
Class B multiple dwellings: Transient housing-hotels, lodging houses, dorms, etc.
Alarms Must Comply with NFPA715 Installation
- Placement should be on or within 12 inches from the ceiling
- Alarms should be horizontally placed 3-10 feet from the gas appliance
- Alarms should be 5-10ft. horizontally from gas stoves
