Residential Marketing Manager

Karen Yaggie

For over 40 years, Karen has worked in the smoke and carbon monoxide alarm industry, educating people on the importance of alarms and safety. At DeNova Detect, Karen serves as the Retail Marketing Manager for the US market. Karen is excited to continue her passion of bringing natural gas safety to the forefront. Karen began her career at Frist Alert/BRK Electronics, holding a variety of positions for 22 years including Customer Service Manager and beyond. At Universal Security Instruments/USI Electric, Karen became the Director of Marketing for 18 years. Karen volunteers in many organizations. She has served as President of the Board of Trustees for the Hinckley Public Library District for 27 years, and President of the Executive Board of the Aurora Regional Fire Museum. She’s volunteered at Fox Valley United Way for 20 years, and is in her second term as 1st Vice President of the Hinckley Lions Club.

Ryota Horibuchi

Ryota has worked with New Cosmos Electric, our parent company in Japan, for 12 years in sales, selling gas alarms mainly in the industrial field (steel mills, power plants, etc.). Most recently, Ryota has been in charge of oversea sales, selling industrial gas alarms to Vietnam and the Middle East. He is excited to continue educating consumers and utilities on Natural Gas safety and products here in the U.S. He is pleased to be a part of New Cosmos USA and to be able to use his experiences to help protect people’s lives and property.
