SUMMARY
DeNova Detect natural gas and carbon monoxide combination alarm important voluntary recall information for Model DD622NCV.
Important Note: If a natural gas or carbon monoxide (CO) leak occurs, your model DD622NCV gas alarm will alert you 100% of the time. However, out of extreme precaution, customers should return their model DD622NCV gas alarm(s) for replacement.
The new gas alarm model that includes the firmware update is DD623NCV. The firmware update will eliminate the potential issue. Only alarms with this specific model number DD622NCV are affected.
HAZARD
Through routine internal product testing, DeNova Detect determined a small number (1,817) of the model DD622NCV combination natural gas and carbon monoxide alarms require a firmware update. The DeNova Detect model DD622NCV is the only model affected. None of the natural gas-only alarms are affected.
REMEDY
Correctly identified DD622NCV alarms will be replaced. Follow the steps below to determine if your gas alarm is affected.
INCIDENTS & INJURIES
DeNova Detect has not received any reports of gas alarm failures and no injuries have been reported.
IDENTIFICATION
To determine if your alarm is affected, follow the steps below.
1. CHECK YOUR ALARM
CONFIRM YOUR ALARM is identical to the product on the right.
2. LOCATE THE MODEL NUMBER
LOCATE THE MODEL NUMBER on the top side of your alarm.
3. LOCATE THE SERIAL NUMBER
LOCATE THE SERIAL NUMBER on the right side of your alarm.
If your alarm has now been correctly identified as model DD622NCV, click on the Product Registration Form for a free replacement alarm.

IF YOUR GAS ALARM IS NOT AFFECTED - no further action is needed. Re-mount the gas alarm on the wall within 12 inches from the ceiling. Test the alarm by pressing the test button for 5 seconds. Be sure to refer to the user’s manual for complete instructions and important safety information.
